In a recent development, a fraudulent company, operating under the guise of ‘Curative Survey Private Limited,’ has left a trail of deception and financial turmoil in Kashmir.
The company enticed unsuspecting individuals with false promises of lucrative returns on investments, only to vanish, leaving chaos, anguish, and protests in its wake.
The Cyber Police Station in Kashmir Zone-Srinagar swiftly responded, registering FIR No. 39/2023 under Section 66D of the IT Act and Section 420 of the IPC. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, a dedicated Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed to delve into the intricacies of the case.
Investigations unveiled that the bogus company had established six offices in the Kashmir Valley and a regional office in Jammu between January and February 2023.
Subsequently, all seven offices were meticulously searched, sealed, and pertinent evidence was seized for forensic analysis. The SIT, in collaboration with the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), aims to unravel the extent of the financial scam.
A comprehensive inquiry led to the identification of six accused persons residing outside the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
